Support for Western NC Displaced Artists: Exhibit Opportunity at Gallery 164

In recognition of the challenges faced by artists who have lost studios, homes, or galleries or whose livelihoods have been disrupted, Gallery 164 offers an opportunity for these artists to exhibit their work. With the Fall and Holiday sales season at risk, we aim to provide economic support for artists in our creative communities.

Although Gallery 164 is a relatively intimate space, we can accommodate additional artists for up to six months. After the initial six-month period, longer agreements may be considered. We are moving quickly to ensure artists’ work is available for key community and tourist events in Waynesville. Please see the participation guidelines below.

Opened in December 2023, Gallery 164 is located in Downtown Waynesville and reflects the power of community. We strongly believe in fostering a culture that celebrates the creativity of artists, collectors, and citizens with a passion for the arts. Our mission is to contribute to the growth and sustainability of the arts in Waynesville, Western North Carolina, and beyond. We are proud to collaborate with local and regional businesses and organizations to support the arts community.

Our vision is to inspire individuals and communities to value a creative society and engage actively in cultural innovation.
